What is Quercetin?

Quercetin is known for the following health benefits: anti-inflammatory , antioxidant and antiviral .

Quercetin has several positive influences on the functioning of the immune system. The most remarkable thing about quercetin is that it can inhibit inflammatory factors and thus relieve inflammation .

In addition, an inhibition of a type of inflammation associated with aging (inflammation by senescent cells ) has been observed. This inhibition indirectly results in an increase in energy - or NAD, the substance that decreases in concentration as we age! Increasing this substance is associated with numerous health benefits.

Finally, there are studies suggesting that quercetin has antiviral properties. It can powerfully inhibit the spread and reproduction of viruses by sabotaging these processes.

  • Anti-obesity

Quercetin can slow the production and accumulation of fat cells.

  • Supports brain health

Several studies suggest that quercetin has neuroprotective properties and may contribute to brain health.

  • Allergy

Soothing the allergic reaction. Anti-histamine effects have been observed with Quercetin

Antioxidant power

Antioxidants are known for neutralizing harmful substances , or free radicals. Free radicals are unstable substances released in cells by natural processes that can damage their environment. While this is common, it is important that the ratio remains balanced. Under stressful conditions such as drinking alcohol, or due to a deficiency of antioxidants (found in all kinds of fruits and vegetables), concentrations of free radicals can increase, which can result in cell death and tissue damage.

Antioxidants such as Quercetin provide protection against these free radicals by neutralizing them and restoring balance .
